Welcome to The Lavender

The former Lavender Pub was acquired by an Italian food loving family who have achieved their aim of transforming it into an Italian restaurant with character specialising in authentic food and wine from Italy’s Abruzzo region . The Lavender offers a relaxing dining experience away from the stress and speed of the city, delivering some of Italy’s finest food sourced directly from small producers using traditional recipes re-invented by our chefs.
We pride ourselves in offering you exceptional ingredients, simply cooked and second to none.
The ingredients used in our kitchen are always fresh. We select our fish, seafood and meat from Billingsgate and Smithfield markets several times a week so the menu may slightly vary according to season and availability.

Live music every Sunday from 5 pm to 9.30 pm with Soul Train

Soul Train are a professional, friendly, reliable and successful live band. Its members have toured and performed with the likes of Beverley Knight, Jamiroquai and are working with new and exciting up and coming artists every week.
As Soul Street consists of all music graduates of BIMM London, it has since then given them the skillsets and chances to perform in spectacular venues- such as Shepherds Bush Empire, The London Palladium and many more.

The nose is delighted with ripe scents of cherries, plums and blackberries. On the palate, unrivalled body and freshness. It unfolds soft and enchanting at first, leaving a very agreeable trace of a balanced tannin content. It boasts a highly commended flavour.

Intense garnet red . Ripped red fruits aroma , with clear references to cherries and plum under spirit. Dense and concentrated flavour of jam, rich and beautiful length, with well-balanced tannins

Sangiovese, Val di Toro, Grosseto   £35.90
Intense ruby red with violet reflexes. Strong notes of fruit, particularly of wild berries, accompanied by hints of spices and liquorish, vanilla and black pepper. A wine of great structure and fullness with fresh opening, soft and velvety, slightly sapid in the finish and enjoyably persistent. Ideal with dishes of red meat and game.

Ripasso di Valpolicella Doc, Le Sassine, Le Ragose, Verona   £38.90
It has a bouquet of intense red fruit notes such as currant, strawberry and black cherry. On the palate it’s medium in body but with a surprisingly enveloping mature berry flavor with hints of dried figs, coffee notes and cocoa powder.

A light, herb-tinged red, with moderate plum and cherry notes back by medium tannins and a slightly hot, spicy finish.

A rich and ripe style with dried fruits, black pepper and vanilla. Full body, soft tannins and flavorful. A wine that show tradition with modernity because of the new oak.

A fresh, crisp red, lending a tightness to the feel and linear profile. With air, this turns richer, offering plum, coffee and leather notes. Assertive tannins mark the long finish.

Robert Parker 94 points Multi awarded wine. Extraordinarily powerful, intense wine of 15-16% alcohol with a concentrated black cherry jam fruit. Dense and super ripe, yet still well- mannered and harmonious, the Amarone finishes rich and dry with firm tannins allowing lengthy bottle development.

Crazy aromas of dried lemon, sea salt and cherry and delicate rose petal. Full body, ripe fruit with amazing acid tannin structure. It works from the inside out with your palate showing an amazing center palate and bright acidity and tannin structure.

Pale lemon colour It has floral aromas and hints of citrus and white stone fruits. On the palate is has peach and lemony flavours and lots of bubbles rounded off with a crisp finish.

Lovely pear and apple notes together with zesty lemon lime grapefruits. On the palate fine and light bubbles, citrusy notes and a hint of honey.

Rosè Sparkling – Serre (Pinot Noir and Raboso), Treviso   £33.90
Produced in the heart of the Prosecco production area, it has a bright pink colour. It is delicate and smooth and develops fresh strawberry and raspberry scents. Ideal as an aperitif; it pairs well with fish and many light dishes.

Valdobbiadene Prosecco Docg Serre, Treviso   £33.90
This sparkling Brut is light straw yellow coloured with greenish highlights. It has a bright froth with a fine and persistent perlage. The fragrance of fresh fruits with notes of exotic fruits such as pineapple and banana is peculiar to true Prosecco wine. It has a soft and dry flavour and its lean and crunchy palate is excellent for serving as an aperitif or at the beginning of sophisticated light fish dishes.

Sweet Temptations

This Moscato is handcrafted on the beautiful island of Sicily, a land with an ancient heritage for winemaking. Rolling hillside vineyards, warm mediterranean sunshine and a cool, coastal breeze are the perfect climate to produce crisp, juicy Moscato grapes. This straw yellow wine is honey melon flavoured with a light scent of white peaches, flowers and tropical fruit. This Moscato delivers a well balanced acidity and has a long, lingering finish. Perfect as an aperitif.
